FAQ - Care for your DrawnBy: Jessica Products

HOW LONG CAN I USE DRAWNBY: JESSICA MARKERS FOR?
The DrawnBy: Jessica Markers are good for use for 18 months if they are unopened on the shelf. We advise customers to ensure you cap the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers properly after use as they dry out very quickly in Singapore's humid weather.

If you find that the ink inside the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers are starting to thin out, isopropyl/rubbing alcohol may help to revive the ink as they are oil-based. If the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers are truly dried out or used, you may purchase DrawnBy: Jessica markers as a stand-alone purchase from the Accessories section of the website.

WHAT DO I DO IF THE DRAWNBY: JESSICA MARKER NIBS HAVE RETRACTED INTO THE MARKER?
We know that kids may try to use the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers in different ways and means! When enough force is applied, the marker nibs may sink into the body of the DrawnBy: Jessica marker, but don't be alarmed! 

We suggest using a pair of tweezers to gently grab hold of the nib and ease it back out enough of it has been pulled out. It should fit back in place with enough of the nib out for you to continue colouring your DrawnBy: Jessica Washable Silicone Mat! The DrawnBy: markers can pulled apart to refill the chamber within / dilute dried ink with rubbing alcohol so you can use this method to get to the nibs but only if they have totally retracted into the chamber. This requires a bit of brute force, so please ask an adult for assistance!

WHAT OTHER MARKERS CAN BE USED ON MY DRAWNBY: JESSICA REUSABLE SILICONE MATS?
We know that parents may have an assortment of washable markers and pens at home so we are happy to advise that most whiteboard markers and water-based markers will also be washable on the DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats. Some examples we have tested include the IKEA or CRAYOLA water-based pens.

Do note that for the best colour quality, we do recommend that you use our Drawnby: Jessica Markers together with the DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats  for the best experience as we have developed the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers to be easy on not only silicone surfaces but even on the skin.

Other brands may not provide the same colouring effect or vibrancy so do test your markers on the reverse of the mat so as not to stain the design side of the DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats. 

Do note that we will not be liable for staining due to use of other markers as DrawnBy: Jessica Markers have been tested for compatibility.

WHAT CAN BE USED ON DRAWNBY: JESSICA STICKERS?
DrawnBy: Jessica Colouring Stickers were printed by accident on matte-finished paper so it was a happy surprise for us when we found that made them reusable too! You will also you have many more options for colouring such as colour pencils, crayons, other forms of markers and pen and of course, our DrawnBy: Jessica Markers work too! 

Inkier and watery pens may smudge on this coating so do allow for the ink to dry before taking the DrawnBy: Jessica Colouring Stickers off from the sheet.

DrawnBy: Jessica Markers and Water Colour Pencils are also easily wipeable on DrawnBy: Jessica stickers but do note that the matte-coating will be DISCONTINUED in future runs of DrawnBy: Jessica Stickers.

HOW ELSE SHOULD I CARE FOR MY DRAWNBY: JESSICA PRODUCTS?

Silicone is easily cleaned, so caring for your DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats  is very simple! A good wipe after use and a thorough wash in the sink every once in a while with dishwashing liquid is good enough to keep it clean! After washing, do let your DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats have a chance to dry before using it again.

We know that our DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats love to be used and frequent use helps the DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats to extend its shelf life! Regular colouring and cleaning is sure to help your DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats  last much longer!

When it comes to DrawnBy: Jessica Markers, do remember that local humidity will cause the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers to dry out rather fast if their caps are not put back on tightly. Since DrawnBy: Jessica Marker ink is soluble in water, contact with water may cause the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers to lose their payout. Do not colour on areas of the DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats where it is still wet. After a cleanse or wipe, do dry your DrawnBy: Jessica Reusable Silicone Mats properly before you continue or start a colouring session.

If the DrawnBy: Jessica Markers do find contact with water, leave them alone for a while and the ink should start flowing again once the tips are not as wet.

HOW DO I CARE FOR THE DRAWNBY: CASE?

Your DrawnBy: Case is made of soft cotton on the outside and waterproof nylon on the inside.

DrawnBy: Markers are permanent on all fabric components so please use with caution if you intend to colour in your DrawnBy: Case! 

You may wipe the internal compartments with a damp cloth. Please do not machine wash the case as it is lined with cardboard to keep it firm for the protection of its contents.
